INGREDIENTS:
SLIDERS:
- 2 c yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 T vegetable oil
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 T yellow mustard
- 2 t Worchester sauce
- 1/2 t garlic powder
- 1/4 t black pepper
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 8 slices American cheese
- 6 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c sliced dill pickles
- 1 T melted butter
- 2 t white sesame seeds
BURGER SAUCE:
- 1/2 c mayonnaise
- 1/4 c ketchup
- 2 T sweet pickle relish
- 1 – 2 T yellow mustard
- Salt and Pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
- In large skillet, cook onions over high heat in oil 4-6 minutes, transfer to plate.
- Reduce heat to medium-high, cook ground beef until cooked through.
- Add mustard, Worchester sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook 2 more minutes.
- Without separating them, slice rolls in half horizontally, place in greased 9X13 dish.
- Arrange sliced cheese over rolls, top with onions, then ground beef mixture.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheese and pickles. Cover with top half of rolls.
- Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, uncover and bake 10-15 minutes.
- Stir together sauce ingredients, adjusting to taste. Serve with sliders.
- Variation: Top beef mixture with crispy bacon.
